Saturday Afternoon Summoner Skirmish - March Event Recap
This past Saturday, Red Riot Games hosted our March Saturday Afternoon Summoner Skirmish, welcoming 24 players for an afternoon of competitive play, community interaction, and evolving Riftbound strategy.
Players brought a wide variety of champions to the event, showing just how open the current metagame continues to be. While some champions appeared multiple times across the field, others made unique appearances, creating a diverse and interesting tournament environment.
Draven was the most represented champion of the day, with six players choosing the Noxian executioner. Close behind were Viktor and Fiora, each appearing in three decks, demonstrating their continued strength in competitive play.
Several champions appeared twice in the event, including Irelia, Ezreal, and Miss Fortune, each piloted by two players. A number of other champions also made single appearances, showing that players are still experimenting and exploring different archetypes. Rek’Sai, Lux, Yasuo, Master Yi, Ornn, and Lucian were each represented by one player.

After several rounds of intense matches, the tournament came down to a final match between Nolan O’Brien and Perry Heer. Nolan secured the championship with a 2–0 victory, closing out the March Skirmish and taking home the top finish.
Events like this highlight the strength of the local community and the depth of strategy that Riftbound offers. With twelve different champions represented across twenty-four players, the field showed a healthy balance between established strategies and creative deckbuilding.
